State Says Watch Out For Bears As They Prepare For Hibernation

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — Keep an eye out for bears — The state says you may see more bears roaming neighborhoods and north Georgia woods.

One bear cub was spotted just last week in a Cherokee County neighborhood.

The state is reminding people bears are out fattening up to go into winter hibernation.

The state says this year’s berries, fruit and acorns are lighter than usual so bears may roam for more food.
