Man charged with murder for hire of wife; Would pay $10K and Hawks tickets


The U.S. Attorney’s Office charged an Acworth man with murder for hire after he allegedly agreed to pay $10,000 in cash and two tickets to an Atlanta Hawks basketball game for someone to kill his ex-wife.

Michael McEarchern, 29, was indicted on Jan. 3 on federal charges for attempting to use the U.S. mail and phone communications to hire someone to kill his ex-wife, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
